The landscape of higher education (HE) across the globe is diverse. While each national HE system and set of regulations is unique, distinct similarities are often observed. Some of them are historically determined, whereas others may reflect the results of instituting recent policies for managing and developing the HE system.
The presented below series of reports aims to analyse how different countries organise HE project management. We show how HE systems are managed, supervised, and monitored in terms of quality assurance (QA) and project development in 9 countries of Europe.
We have divided our findings in four parts based on the region principle. We also suggest taking interest in looking into how various HE management systems can exist and co-exist in neighbouring countries. In our analysis, we rely on regulatory documents, self-reports, and public announcements of the described governmental bodies, as well as scientific literature and reports of professional associations.
