This year, the NAFSA Association of International Educators meeting in Washington is a special one for E-Quadrat Science + Education. Our own expert Olga Krylova, with our esteemed colleague from Fontys University, Dyane Koreman, are leading a dynamic poster discussion on the issue of university stakeholders with an emphasis on comparisons between developed and transition economies. The term “transition economies” refers to countries that are moving from planned societies to more liberal ones.
Who are the stakeholders?
What makes stakeholder relations important for university development?
What do such relations have to do with the structure of the national economy?
What role can universities in transition economies play in getting these elements together?
How can network effects improve education and research and foster the university as a powerful and independent force in places with different traditions and where data on such interactions are scarce or non-existent?
We invite you to join us and take part in the debate under the title “Universities and External Stakeholders: Connections that Work” which will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 10.30 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. (EST).
